A New England Organic Lakeside Wedding along the Shores of Lake Champlain, a coach barn at Shelburne farms wedding was a highlight for us this year with our amazing couple Kendall and Willy. The day finally came on Sept 3rd, 2016 for them to say I do! Kendall & Willey came to me with a vision of not just a wedding but of a gathering that encompassed their family and friends. One that made them feel in every way a part of their journey, a part of where they came from and where they will go. When I think about everything that we did together through the planning process, I think about all the things I learned about the two of them. How much they truly care for each other, what one look means vs another or when you saw them holding hands, there was always more to it. It was pure magic that radiated off the both of them and onto anyone around them. The best part, they did not even know it! Their day started at the beautiful Shelburne Inn where Kendall got ready with her bridal party and where her soon to be met up with her for the First look on the shores of Lake Champlain. From there we went into a quaint ceremony where their dog Ajax was a cherished part of the grooms’ party! The reception was filled with so much warmth through beautifully crafted floral arrangements of pure whites and lush greens with tall taper candles. Each menu and napkin was placed with care along with the San Juan Sea Salt from where Kendall grew up. A fun Guest book station was made through the simple use of Polaroid cameras and a guest book that could hold each photo. Let’s Pretend brought in their A game for this wedding as it was brilliantly plated and a true farm to table meal with bright colors and lots of Vermont dishes.
