Shelburne Farms is an elegant, sustainable farm full of rich history dating back as far as 1886 with the Vanderbilt Webbs. Over the years, the farmhouses grew to sprawling establishments, stunning brick buildings that have been maintained through the years and now serve many diverse purposes.
Marlowe & Harrison wanted a wedding day that emanated grace, romance with a touch of modern. The neutral palette adorned with an intricate web of hanging greenery and orbed chandeliers in a clear span tent, surrounded by the Coach Barn’s brick courtyard created a feeling of warmth and luxury. The design continued as guests entered the Coach Barn and were greeted with a wall-to-wall, garland draped bar, ready to serve and a six-foot, grand chandelier amidst the dark and heavy beams. As the night continued, the West Hall was revealed, Harrison kicked off the party with a song for his bride, and guests enjoyed dancing and music surrounded by floor to ceiling drapery and comfortable lounging nooks.
A spectacular sunset overlooking Lake Champlain, setting behind the blue Adirondack mountains topped off the evening. As darkness settled in, the warm glow from the tent chandeliers offered a welcoming, summer night for guests to socialize and enjoy one another in celebration of Marlowe & Harrison’s love.
It was such a joy planning and designing for this fabulous wedding couple at the Shelburne Farms Coach Barn. we love working here as much as we can as they only take five weddings a year! With such stunning views and amazing teamwork, we can not wait to be back here again! We want to wish them all the happiness in the world for there new journey ahead.
