Our clients have come to love the warm atmosphere, great food and out of this world service! This week’s post comes from our friend Lindsey at The Farmhouse Group!
You’ve come to know The Farmhouse Group, of Burlington, VT, for their popular farm-to-table restaurants: The Farmhouse Tap & Grill, El Cortijo Taqueria, Guild Tavern, and Pascolo Ristorante. Now you’ll know them for a new division of their growing repertoire: Farmhouse Group Events. In response to numerous requests from guests, The Farmhouse Group is excited to bring their locally sourced and artfully crafted cuisine to your weddings, rehearsal dinners, parties, and events.
Lindsey Campbell, a Boston transplant and now eight year Vermont resident with a strong background in food service, catering and event planning, has joined The Farmhouse Group team as their Director of Catering and Events.
As with all Farmhouse Group restaurants, the menu they create for your special event will highlight what’s in season and available locally. With the belief that great food is made in the field and enhanced in the kitchen—all their preparations are simple and elegant, allowing each ingredient to shine on its own.
Expect their menus to be peppered with seasonal selections such as whole roasted eggplant with charred cherry tomatoes and house made yogurt, dry rubbed bone-in Vermont chicken with heirloom tomato panzanella and herb pesto, or local Hakurei turnips and turnip greens with buttermilk, herbs, and toasted almonds. For dessert? Chocolate Stout Cake, or a rustic display of berry pies, of course.
Farmhouse Group Events also provides an exciting bar and beverage program, offering a little something for everyone. Director of Fluid Assets, Jeff Baker, has established an award-winning craft beer program, featuring rare and unique brews from our backyard and beyond. Wine Director, Alex Moran, has curated a wine list featuring world-renowned wineries, garnering him a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. For exciting, unique cocktails sure to be conversation starters, Cocktail Director Sean McKenzie focuses on classic technique, quality spirits, and intriguing flavor profiles.
Indulge in some of our signature cocktails such as the Noblesse: Cognac, Pear Eau de Vie, lemon, ginger syrup, cardamom. Or the Olde Checkered House: a mix of Bourbon, Luxardo Amaro Abano, honey, lemon, orange bitters, lavender.
The Farmhouse Group Events team, wielding cast iron pans and fresh bunches of root vegetables, are eager to cook for and nourish your family, friends and colleagues with the best that the Green Mountain State has to offer.
