A Little Something Blue, Real Wedding

Hilary and Adam’s elegant blue wedding took place on August 24, 2019 in Stowe, Vermont. The Texas couple chose this location for their love to ski and Hilary’s family has a custom-built family home in the area that she has spent a lot of her vacation time enjoying. This joyful couple, full of energy and a hunger for fun, wanted to bring their guests to one of their favorite vacation spots and treat them to an unforgettably fun, over the top, weekend of celebrations! Choosing Top Notch Resort in Stowe, Vermont was the first step in inviting their guests to fabulous weekend experience as it provides privacy, space for relaxation, access to some of Stowe’s best outdoor activity and phenomenal views!

Saturday morning began early for the bridal party while guests were able to enjoy the bought-out resort, relaxing by the pool, visiting the spa or enjoying the local town attractions. For Hilary, it was truly a day to embrace her inner princess! Hilary’s custom-made gown and cathedral length veil were a true show stopper paired with her platform heel Jimmy Choo’s! Adam was not to be out-done as he and his dapper groomsmen shared a toast, however, it was his outfit change to come that would really be his shining moment!

Together, with the wedding party and family, Hilary and Adam headed down to the tent site for their first look together, followed by portraits, however, before guests began to arrive, the couple was brought into the tent for a reveal of the completed design! Inside they found long cedar farm tables with hanging greenery and tapered candles paired with deep blue BBJ linens on round tables decorated with tall urns of overflowing floral and greenery arrangements! Trees climbed up the tent poles and met a fully draped ceiling lined in twinkle lights and a beautiful arrangement of chandeliers adorned the tent. The couple’s hope to bring a New England elegance and the outdoors in created a beautiful atmosphere to celebrate their union! Their exclamations and tears were all we needed in order to know that they were both awe-inspired and absolutely stunned with the transformation of their tent!

As guests began to arrive, they were greeted with pre-reception drinks and escorted down to the ceremony location beside the horse paddock and views of Mount Mansfield for a backdrop. From there they headed down to the al fresco cocktail hour space where stunning linens and unique modern furniture created vignettes for conversation and lounging. An enormous custom-made map of Vermont listed its highest mountain peaks as table names and helped guests find their seats! The topographical map was created in a way that post-wedding, the couple could have the seating portion removed and hang the map as an art piece in their own home!

When the time was right, guests made their way through an elegantly draped light blue chiffon entry, bordered with trailing greenery to the big reveal of the reception tent! The reception brought flowing champagne, dinner service, speeches, formal dances, and a surprise dance from Adam’s family, presenting a traditional Pakistani dance lead by his own mother! The fourteen-piece band kicked off the party, and the couple donned their outfit changes, Hilary into a less voluminous dress and platform sneakers, and Adam into a crimson suede jacket for his more unique look!

A vintage Air Stream photo bus, confetti cannons and dessert paired with the incredible band made ending the night hard, but guests were encouraged to head outside for one final surprise and were met with a fifteen-minute firework display especially made for them! The night did not quite end there, as guests were shuttled back up to the resort where an after-party continued festivities and a never-ending night of fun! All of the couple’s thought out events and opportunities for excitement and memorable moments paired with their beautiful design truly created what could be consider the best wedding of the year!
